Our double channel stair nosings are engineered for staircases with wider treads, typically over 300mm, where increased slip resistance and durability are required. Available as both retrofit and butt-joint profiles, they are designed to perform reliably in high-traffic environments.
By incorporating two anti-slip channels instead of one, these stair nosings provide enhanced traction across a broader stepping area. This makes them particularly suitable for stairs subject to heavy and continuous pedestrian use, where additional grip and clear step definition are essential for safety.
Originally developed for mass transit stairways, double channel stair nosings are commonly specified in UK railway stations, supermarkets, hotels, hospitals, and other commercial and public buildings. Options include a durable anti-slip PVC insert bonded into a heavy-duty extruded aluminium base, or high-grip self-adhesive DiamondTred inlays installed within aluminium channels.
