Tile Trim Application Areas

22nd Dec 2023

Our broad, diverse range of metal  tile trims has something for every requirement; from tile trims for bathrooms to profiles for kitchens, living areas, balconies and stairs.

Bathroom:

In the bathroom,e.g, an L-shape tile trim can be used to edge the tiled area of the shower and also trim the backsplash for the basin for extra definition. Or where the tiles extend up from the floor up to the bath tub surround, the edge of the tile can be trimmed with the L shape tile trim. An L-shape profile can also provide a clean transition from one colour of  tiles in the shower to a wall with different colours in the rest of the bathroom.

A square edge tile trim can frame a window where it protects the tiles edge and allows for a seamless transition between window and tile. The square edge tile trim can also provide a more solid looking frame for a bathroom niche and prevents the tile edges from being chipped. A square edge profile and corners can also be applied to tile edges of the wall, and outside corners of the shower including the shower curb, bench and niche.

For a tile backsplash not going up all the way to the ceiling, a quadrant tile trim can be used to cap the tile edge. The grout line immediately beneath the profile helps to frame the tile feature. The quadrant tile trim and matching corners can be used to finish the tile edges on the walls, tub surround, shower bench, and to trim the shower niche. The quadrant profile and corner pieces can also be used to finish the tile edges on the partition wall and shower bench.

Kitchen:

In the kitchen, a smooth rounded bullnose edge on a backsplash tile is a great way to give your tile a clean finish and a streamlined look. A quadrant tile trim can be used to finish the tile edges of the countertop and backsplash. Together with sink corners, it can also be used to produce a tiled-under sink or any raised ledge.

Living Room:

The 135 degree tile trim can be used on a tiled half wall in open plan area where the minimalist design profile trims and protects all sides of the exposed tile.It may also be used edge the tiled wall behind the fireplace where it provides a discreet, tile trim edging.

Stairs:

Triangular tile trim can also be used as a stair/step edging profile between step tread and riser with ceramic or stone tiles.Stainless steel square edge tile trim is a universal range of profiles which can be used to protect the edges of stairs laid with tiles and stone and also to finish work surfaces and platforms.
