Fitting Tile Trims

Follow the below guidelines for a trouble free tile trim installation.

1. Choose tile trim profile - from quadrantstraight edge, triangular edge or square edge and check for any imperfections on the trim before the next stage.

2. Measure the tile and select the correct trim depth, giving an allowance for the adhesive.

3.Measure the length required, cut and mitre the tile trim if necessary by using a mitre box.Ensure that protective film remains on the trim at this stage and until completion to ensure protection to anodised/powder coat finish.

4.Press the tiling trim into the adhesive to ensure that the adhesive passes through the anchor holes.Remove all excess glue from the visible trim surface as failure to do so may cause corrosion.

5.Tile over the rear leg of the tile trim and continue to tile as per the tile manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure the top edge of the tile edge trim is flush with the tiles and remove excess adhesive immediately.

6. Grout the tiles and ensure that all excess grout/adhesive is removed immediately. Remove protective film when the grouting has been completed and ensure the surface is completely clean by wiping down with clean water and wipe dry
